Gardens by Claudia is a sole trader based in Winchelsea, East Sussex.
Services
• Gardens by Claudia provides garden maintenance, care and related horticultural services as agreed with the client.
• Advice is given according to professional judgement - plant health is a priority but weather, pests, diseases or other circumstances beyond control may affect results.
• Regular maintenance visits are scheduled by agreement. Frequency may vary due to weather or unforeseen circumstances - if this is the case, clients will be informed as soon as possible.
• Gardens by Claudia reserves the right to decline work deemed outside the agreed scope or presenting health & safety risks.
Prices, payment terms and costs
• Gardens by Claudia charges a flat per-hour rate. The minimum booking slot is 2 hours.
• Plant and material costs are not included. I may be able to source plants and materials for you for an added collection fee of 30%.
• Invoices are payable within 5 days of issue unless otherwise agreed. Late payments may incur reasonable recovery costs and interest in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts legislation where applicable.
• Payments can be made by cash or bank transfer unless otherwise agreed.
Client responsibilities
Gardens by Claudia is not responsible for any damage caused by pre-existing structural defects, unstable or poorly kept/installed structures and supports, concealed hazards, underground pipes and cables.
• Clients must ensure safe and reasonable access to the garden, with water and electricity access available where required.
• Children must be supervised.
• If you have pets, please ensure that they do not interfere with the gardening work and that the garden is clear of waste.
• Lawns – I only do small lawns; if you provide your own lawnmower, please ensure that it is fully working, has a full tank/battery or easy access to a plug if corded.
Waste
Green waste remains the client's responsibility. Green waste bins, bags or disposal areas must be provided.
Liability and Insurance
• Gardens by Claudia has Public Liability Insurance
• Liability is limited to the value of the service provided. Gardens by Claudia is not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Cancellations
• Cancellations require at least 48 hours notice.
• Short notice cancellations may be charged where time has been reserved and cannot reasonably be filled.
Photography and Marketing
• Gardens by Claudia may take photographs of the garden before, during and after work for record keeping and portfolio purposes. These will only include the garden and planting, no identifiable images of clients, children, pets, personal items or location.
• Images may be used on the Gardens by Claudia website, social media pages or printed marketing materials – please let me know if you do not want photographs used for marketing purposes.
Complaints
• If you have any issues with any aspect of the service, please talk to me immediately or within 7 days so that they can be discussed and resolved promptly.
Governing Law
• These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
